Advanced Cosmetic Surgery in Danbury, New Milford, Norwalk, and Ridgefield, Connecticut

Franklin September 13, 2021 2 min read

If you’re considering a cosmetic surgery procedure, it’s important to choose a reputable surgeon. While the skill and experience of surgeons in metropolitan areas is often the best, local physicians have a variety of advantages that can make the process more comfortable for you. Advanced Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery is located in Danbury, New Milford, Norwalk, and Ridgefield, Connecticut. The surgeons at this practice perform hundreds of procedures each year.

The doctors at the Advanced Plastic Surgery Center provide comprehensive beauty treatments to help patients look younger and feel better about themselves. Common procedures patients visit the center include rhinoplasty, facelift, breast surgery, eyelid surgeries, and liposuction. The team at the clinic custom-tailored treatments for each patient using the latest techniques and technologies in aesthetic and plastic surgery. The doctor’s reputation speaks for itself. In addition to specializing in plastic surgery, Dr. Young also offers aesthetic services such as botox and dermal fillers.

Not all plastic surgeons are board-certified. Some can call themselves a cosmetic surgeon even if they’re not. Rohrich told Healthline that there are no laws governing cosmetic surgeons in the USA. Because of this, many people choose to seek a procedure performed by a non-cosmetic surgeon. These physicians may not have as much experience and may not be equipped to handle complications if the surgery goes wrong. However, he does recommend seeing a board-certified cosmetic surgeon who offers the complete range of services.

While the United States and Brazil ranked first and second in the world in terms of total cosmetic surgery procedures, their population sizes change the order. Brazil takes the top spot with 715 procedures per 100,000 people, while the USA drops out of the top five to eighth place. Second and third place go to Argentina and Colombia, which jump from eighth and seventh place, respectively. While the US may be a bit surprising, South America demonstrates the rising popularity of cosmetic surgery amongst its population. The UK, meanwhile, has a large number of procedures each year. It’s estimated that breast augmentation surgery is the most popular cosmetic procedure in the UK, and the UK has a population of nearly twenty thousand people.
